1938, Born on this day was English drummer Jet Black (Brian John Duffy), one of the founding members of The Stranglers, and who is now one of the oldest working rock drummers. Before forming The Stranglers, Black was a successful businessman up until the mid-1970s, owning a fleet of ice cream vans.
