O Jimi πέθανε σαν σήμερα 18/9 το 1970

Tην άνοιξη του 1967 κυκλοφορεί στην Αμερική το Hey Joe, αλλά περνάει απαρατήρητο. Ο Paul McCartney πρότεινε στους διοργανωτές 

του φεστιβάλ του Μοντερέϋ τον Jimi Hendrix και ο Brian Jones των Rolling Stones τον παρουσίασε. Έτσι τον Σεπτέμβριο του 1967 τον έμαθε 

όλη η Αμερική με το άλμπουμ Are You Experience.
